This small wedding was one I was truly honored and excited to photograph. The bride Kelly happens to be one of my oldest friends of 20+ years going back to freshman year of high school. Kelly and Marcus met and fell in love long long ago! They surprised everyone by finally, yes finally tying the knot! They've been engaged 12 years and have a beautiful son, Taye. Many of us weren't sure this day would ever actually happen. They were just so happy living their lives together the wedding was the last thing on their minds. I was honored when Kelly asked me to photograph her special day! Not only did she ask me to do that she asked me to help her out and photograph her for some beautiful canvas portraits to surprise her hubby to be with. This was major. Kelly is notoriously camera shy. We settled on some tastefully sexy photos under the pier in their hometown of Flagler Beach, Fl. Kelly was shy as I expected but we got some amazing photos that now hang on the wall of the home they share. They wanted a simple beach wedding. It was simple and beautiful just like Kelly and Marcus. One of the most fun times i've had shooting a wedding, i'm sure that was helped by the fact that i've known just about everyone there for decades. They had a simple ceremony on Daytona Beach. Their son Taye walked mom down the aisle and Marcus's son Isaiah was by dad's side during the ceremony. There was nothing but pure joy and love on this day. A true testament to the old saying "good things come to those who wait". It couldn't have been a more perfect day!
